  By far the BEST German bakery I've come across in Texas! I accept their prices as I understand the cost of importing legit ingredients to make their delicious bakery items taste authentic, and the amount of effort that goes into making such "lecker" treats! I grew up in Germany (1978-1995) and since moving here in 95, THIS is the only German place I have found worthy of returning to. Fleischsalat und Spezi und Bienenstich und "Krapfen" (as I grew up calling them) broetchen, bauern brot, und so weiter, for my family and I, we'll make the drive no matter where we live in this great State, currently Austin! Thank you Pfeifer's for bringing me a little taste of home!

  Pastry's tasted like they were days old, hard even when warmed up. And noticed that some of the items purchased didn't have the paper inside so that means bare hands were used. Will not go again!! Yes too pricey.
